Leonardo da VinciInnovation Projects - European Priorities • Why the project was necessary?(needs addressed - problems solved): • Clear priorities relating to ICT in VET and in ‘Education and Training 2010’. • Strong need for the up-skilling of the ICT capabilities of teachers in the VET area. • Significant training deficit in many countries, but most particularly in Ireland, inhibiting the wider effective use of ICTs in VET.

(process – implementation): The project planned the following implementation: • Review best practice to inform product design & content. • Transfer the e-Cert programme to VET • Create an eTuition product as a progression from e-Cert VET.

FIT (Fasttrack Into Information Technology) – Ireland Private non profit company with charitable status P2. FOR.COM - Italy Multimedia University - Public non profit body promoted by Ministry of University, Technological and Scientific Research P3. Co. Wicklow VEC – Ireland Statutory Body set up under the Vocational Education Act 1930 provides a range of educational services through its Second Level Schools, Further Education College, Adult Education Centres and through its Adult and Community Education Programmes. P.4 Castlereagh College - UK Public Body -Regional Education One of the largest colleges in the UK.
