Pacific Coliseum • Venue Capacity- 14,200 • Sports at this Venue- Figure Skating, Short Track Speed Skating • Home of the Vancouver Giants • For the Olympics, the existing hockey boards and glass will be completely removed and replaced by a unique, freestanding short track speed skating padding system to cushion and protect the athletes in case of falls

UBC Thunderbird Arena • Capacity- 6,800 • Sport at this Venue- Ice Hockey • According to their chief ice maker, the ideal air temperature at the arena is 15 to 17 degrees Celsius, while the ideal ice surface temperature is -6 to -7.5 degrees Celsius. The ideal ice thickness is roughly 2.5 centimeters

  4. Vancouver Olympic Centre • Capacity- 5,600 • Sport at this Venue- Curling • The venue is located in a lively Vancouver community that includes the beautiful Queen Elizabeth Park and views of the local mountain
