  1. NOAA, National Weather ServiceMiddle Atlantic River Forecast Center Briefing 11am Saturday, May 17, 2014

  2. Key Messages • Heavy rain over the past 72 hours has caused: • 20 MARFC forecast points to exceed the Minor flood level • 12 points to exceed the Moderate flood level • 1 point to exceed the Major flood level • Water levels at most points have reached their crest and are falling. • However, water levels at a few of the main stem and slower responding points are still rising. Most are expected to crest late tonight or early Sunday morning. • Forecasts for rising points are unlikely to change much because the rain has ended and very little additional rain is in the 72 hour forecast; however, updates will be provided if forecasts begin to deviate from observations. • Monitor your river forecast at http://water.weather.gov

  3. Current River Forecasts • Here are the current MARFC 72 hour forecasts. • Note that several points that flooded during this event have already receded below flood stage.
