  2. Animals The warm weather is causing ice caps to melt making the ground very unsafe for animals. Animals near the poles are beginning to loose there homes. Some animals like the polar bears die every year from falling into the freezing water.

  3. Melting Glaciers According to NASA, the polar ice cap is now melting at the alarming rate of nine percent per decade Arctic sea ice extent set an all-time record low in September 2007 The was almost half a million square miles less ice than the previous record set in September 2005

  4. Health • extreme heat waves claimed killed thousands around the world. • Many in France and Europe • The weather got as high as 104 degrees Fahrenheit.

  5. Warnings • There are a lot of health risks that come with global warming. • Carbon dioxide spurs an increase in the growth of weeds such as ragweed. • The number of pollen allergy and asthma sufferers has increased. • Air pollution makes allergies worse

  6. Disease • mosquitoes are spreading as the climate allows them to survive in hot area. • Heavy rainfall events can wash pathogens from contaminated soils, farms, and streets into drinking water supplies. • Cryptosporidium, is a deadly disease that can be washed into a cities drinking water system.

  7. The Damage • Hurricanes accrue with global warming. • A combination of rising sea levels, reduced snowfall and increased rainstorms threatens to flood the homes. • Drought and floods • Food and water shortages
