  2. PRD Involvement • We were invited to join the PRD group through our OLASS provider in October 2008 • Our PRD group consists of five prisons • HMP The Mount, HMP Bullwood Hall, HMP Chelmsford, HMP Kingston, HMP Winchester DK

  3. PRD Action Plan • PRD group to review our self-assessment • To visit the prisons to review provision and moderate grades • To support the changes required to meet the needs of our different group of learners • In preparation for inspection in October 2009

  4. HMP The Mount in context • Population- Maximum Capacity 768 including: • 91 IPPs • 44 Lifers • 211 Foreign Nationals • 41 IDTS • 6 Reached retirement age of 65 DK

HMP The Mount – Self-assessment • This is an inclusive process • All Learning and Skills areas produce a SAR • The information from each area is then used to inform an over arching SAR for the provision • An action plan is developed to include actions across the provision • This action plan is used through the QIG to monitor outcomes against planned actions • Regularly reviewed and updated DK

HMP The Mount PRD - SAR suggestions • Keep your SAR Succinct • Use judgement words when telling your story • Include all areas • Do not become over critical • Be sure to promote good areas and identify areas that have shown significant improvements • Identify areas that need improvement and have a clear vision of what those improvements are and realistic stages to achieve them DK
