  1. The Golgi Apparatus By Gavin Dembeck Deylen Chew Max Barbour

  2. What the Golgi Apparatus does for the cell • Collects molecules and combines them to make more complex molecules. • Then it takes those molecules and bundles them into vessels • After they are packaged into vessels they are either stored for later use or sends them out of the cell.

  3. Golgi apparatus: View from Microscope

  4. Golgi apparatus: Drawing

  5. Cells including Golgi apparatus • Animal Cells include Golgi apparatus • Plant Cells

  6. If The Cell Were A Factory… If the Golgi apparatus were a factory, it would be the distribution and shipping department.

  7. Cytoskeleton

  8. Where the cytoskeleton/golgi apparatus is located • The cytoskeleton is located in the inside of the cell. It forms the shape of the cells w/o cell walls. • The golgi apparatus is located near the nucleus

  9. Cytoskeleton: View from Microscope

  10. Cytoskeleton: Drawing

  11. Cells including Cytoskeleton • Prokaryotic Cells • Eukaryotic Cells

  12. What the Cytoskeleton does for the cell • Forms a structure for movement of organelles around the cytoplasm • The cytoskeleton stores microfilaments and microtubules • The structure forms the shape for the cells that don’t have cell walls

  13. What the Golgi Apparatus does for the cell • Collects molecules and combines them to make more complex molecules. • Then it takes those molecules and bundles them into vessels • After they are packaged into vessels they are either stored for later use or sends them out of the cell.

  14. If The Cell Were A Factory… • If the cytoskeleton were a factory it would help all the machines and its components move.
