Basic do’s and don’ts when working with gas cylinders • Do not change regulators unless you have been trained • Do not attempt to modify regulator threads • Do not force any connection that does not fit • Do not use broken or damaged regulators • Do not use PTFE tape on regulator threads • Do not leave a cylinder free standing • Do undertake a visual inspection of the regulator prior to use • Do complete gas safety online induction if you are a user • Do ask for advice when unsure (Jonathan Lee)

  8. Take home message • User: must complete the online gas safety awareness training • Do not change gas regulators unless you have been trained • Report damaged/leaking cylinder immediately • Be aware of the presence of gas cylinder
