Terms • Hazards: Hazard is considered as an inherent property of a substance or an occurrence which has the potential to cause loss or injury to property, person or environment. • Physical hazards: abnormal temperature • Chemical hazards: fire or explosion. Terms • Safe: a thing is provisional categorized as safe if its risks are deemed to be known and in the light of that knowledge judged to be acceptable. • Accident : is an unplanned event which has a probability of causing personal injury or property damage.   5. Terms • Industrial Safety:Industrial safety is the scientific and technological approach to recognition, evaluation and control of work environment factors which may adversely effect health and safety of the workers. Knowledge Sharing is the key for Improvement in the Safety Performance

Environment factors • Unsafe act: An action of a human resulting in poor safety performance or resulting in injury damage to property. • Unsafe condition: The factors which leads to an incident or accident such as unguarded machinery,physical,chemical or environment situation that can harm personnel.
