PTX Connect Update • Product Performance to date hasn’t met expectations due to: • Promotion and Perception Issues • The product was promoted prematurely as WWAN-compliant, but after testing, we couldn’t obtain certification  this caused negative reaction and perception in the field. • Although product was unique in the market, sales didn’t emphasize this as there weren’t incentives to promote and sell new SW products • Product Issues • Server installation too complex, demo too complex, limited client functionality (i.e. couldn’t switch between applications and no 1-many PTT capability, no WWAN support) • Training Issues • Although a product launch kit was released with the product and a number of webinars hosted, this was a complicated product to just learn on one’s own, not enough F2F was done for Technical Consultants, as a result demoing this was tough and limited • Product Performance to date • 12 Customers: 11 in Americas, 1 in EMEA (Belgium), Largest: 80 devices • Revenue: $45K, Quantity: 206 clients, Margin: 42%

PTX Connect V4.0 Enhancements • Easier Server Installation Process • single installer file to install the server and SQL Server 2005 Express (if needed), removed IIS as a component – not running as a web service now • Easier Client Installation Process • single .CAB file to install client on all PTX products.   • G1 products still require .NET CF 2.0 which is distributed separately • New Server User Interface • customized the server to show relevant information only, users, groups, licenses, reports, configuration • New Client User Interface • easier configuration of server properties, auto-connect mode, and setup of PTT key and Application-switch key • Added 1-many push-to-talk capability • now supporting 1-1, 1-many and 1-all. • Support connection modes over WLAN and WWAN • Support WORKABOUT PRO G2, 8515, Ikôn, and “PX750”
