A word on water softeners… They are designed to remove Calcium & Magnesium • Extremely effective • BUT they leave elevated levels of Sodium or Potassium • Ionization Process Can Double Alkaline Minerals • Up to 610 ppm of Sodium or potassium • All the healthy calcium and magnesium is removed • Not Recommended with Ionizer without RO

  25. Properly Installing Water Lines • Make sure to ensure the line is properly seated. • Install by firmly pushing the line into the fitting • Give the line a slight “tug” • If it doesn’t come out it is correctly installed

  27. Leaky Diverters Most leaks can easily be resolved with a few wraps of plumber’s tape

  28. Common Start-up Issues Check the filters first!!!

  29. Initial Filter Flush • Every carbon filter requires flushing • Run water through the filter until clear Water with Carbon Dust at First Clear Water after Flushing

  30. Initial performance testing • Use the pH reagent included in your ionizer box • Make sure NOT to use pool test strips – they do not measure a full range of pH • Use the included vials or glass. Clean thoroughly (test results can be skewed otherwise). • Add water to be tested – 1 inch in glass or vial. • Add 3 drops. • Compare to color chart

  31. Use and MaintenanceChanging Filters • Open filter door(s) • Remove expired filters • Depress the spring loaded filter cushion down • While pushing down on spring, tilt filter body out • Remove • Repeat steps in reverseto install new filter

  32. Reset Filter Counter(s) • Open filter door(s) • Locate and depress the filter reset button for 5-10 seconds or until you hear an audible “ding”
