  14. Topic 2 Key Words PESSYP – An initiative which aims to increase participation by making links between clubs and schools. Club coaches run lessons in school, they then invite the best ones to their club, this means more clubs are created. PESSYP also ensures that students get 2 hours PE a week in schools and a minimum of 3 hours extra curricular opportunities. Sport England – This is another initiatives with a 3 step philosophy Start – Sport England aims to increase participation in sport Stay - Sport England aims to keep people involved in sport Succeed – Sport England aims to provide help and opportunities for the most talented people to succeed. E.g. lottery funding Sports Participation Pyramid – Has 4 levels to show different levels of sport. These are Foundation, participation, performance and Elite
