Current Settings for 5 TeV LHC Background Sources and Circuit Strength Optimization

This document outlines the required current settings for achieving maximum strength across all circuits at 5 TeV. It specifies the necessary adjustments, including a squeeze to 55 cm in IR 1 & 5 and to 2 m in IR 8. Calculations for currents at 5 TeV and 7 TeV are provided using default transfer functions from the layout database, FIDEL, where applicable. Circuits should be grouped by type with assigned maximum currents, and empirical settings are required where MAD does not supply strengths. Orbit correctors are to be set to nominal as part of the testing process.
