This document provides an overview of the current status of GOSIA development as presented by Paweł Napiorkowski at the INTAG Workshop held at GSI on May 24-25, 2007. Key topics include the introduction of GOSIA2, improvements in interpolation methods, and the integration of advanced techniques for analyzing spectroscopic data. The document discusses the challenges faced during error estimation and minimizes the impact of complex shapes in particle detectors. It offers insights into ongoing enhancements to the GOSIA manual and operational procedures along with experimental setups in studying exotic isotopes.

GOSIA2 • GOSIA2 is intended to handle both target and projectile ”simultaneous” excitation with common normalization coefficients • ”Simultaneous” inclusion of the lines originating from the second partner and usually known spectroscopic data makes it possible to achieve a unique solution for exotic case. • For details – see upgraded manual INTAG workshop, GSI, May 24-25, 2007

Interpolation: be carefull • Internal conversion coeficient 13 June 2006: Corrected ICC description in OP,YIEL to include use of four point interpolation and increase in number of ICC energies to 50. • Integration:Using excessively fine meshpoints in the OP,INTG step or an excessive number of subdivisions may cause convergence issues. ”Virtual” particle detector M.Zielińska, 44Ar @ GANIL INTAG workshop, GSI, May 24-25, 2007
”Virtual” Detector Model for GOSIA • PIN option useful to describe very difficult shapes of the particle detector • The idea was successfully tested • Problem: σp(Θ,φ) is not Rutherford’s • But can be measured (e.g. downscaling) • Modification of PIN option in necessary -weight parameter has to be appliedto integration procedure (will be ready after summer 2007) INTAG workshop, GSI, May 24-25, 2007
