Our aims and objectives • All are interrelated – get one right and the others begin to fall in place, similarly the objectives are interrelated within the RAG analysis, both vertically through the movement and horizontally across the Groups. • All are targeted at growth • All are aligned with County, Regional & National objectives
Objective 1 • To ensure that each District has a District Development Plan. • 2011/12 - 6 out 12 complete - 50% • Development / Action Planning Days (RAG analysis) are seen as a success by the DGB • 2012/13 – target all 12 Districts to complete a day • This is an essential criteria for gaining the DGB funding • These events should become annual events for all Districts and Groups
Objective 1 • To ensure that each District has a District Development Plan. Why? • To introduce you to the principle's and process of a RAG analysis, prioritisation and action planning. • Give you confidence in using these tools with the intention of helping you reproduce these sessions with your groups and ultimately their sections. • To introduce a consistent approach across the organisation
Objective 1 • To ensure that each District has a District Development Plan. Changes • Now available as either as a one day or a two evening event. • Each Plan now has the Initial Aim pre-determined – the rollout of this process to all groups in the District, to embed it as part of the Annual Review Process and the “Way we work” • Support for nominated Groups to have three month rolling support from the LDO. • County facilitation to Groups available
Objective 2 • To establish a team of District Development Facilitators who will be able to work with the County Development Officer in the implementation of District Development Plans • In parallel with objective 1 • Desirable if this is a dedicated post reporting to the DC • Rollout to Groups – consistency!
Objective 3 • To recruit 100 adult volunteers within each calendar year • Improved management of membership enquires • Focussed recruitment within Groups • Event based recruitment at both District & Group level
Objective 4 • Continued retention and induction of adult volunteers • Generic Induction Pack • The County, Districts and Groups encouraged to follow induction, review and retention processes • County Induction Days • Activity / Action based training
Objective 5 • Exit Surveys • Establish a series of exit interviews for Leaders leaving the movement to ascertain the reasons for leaving
