  2. HOCKEY CANADA • Mission • We dedicate ourselves to the advancement of amateur hockey for all individuals, through progressive leadership, by ensuring meaningful opportunities and enjoyable experiences in a safe sportsmanlike manner. CF HOCKEY OFFICIALS COURSE

  3. HOCKEY CANADA • Objectives • Foster and encourage the sport of amateur hockey in Canada • Foster and encourage leadership programs in all areas related to the development of Canada CF HOCKEY OFFICIALS COURSE

  4. HOCKEY CANADA • Canadian Hockey Officiating Program (CHOP) • Six levels • Level I • to prepare a young or new official to officiate minor hockey • Over 11,000 level I officials register annually CF HOCKEY OFFICIALS COURSE

HOCKEY CANADA • Level II • Further enhance the training and skills of Minor Hockey officials • Over 10,000 Level II officials register annually • Level III • To prepare officials capable of refereeing Minor Hockey Playoffs, Minor Hockey Regional Playoffs and Female National Championships, or being linesmen in Junior B, C, D, Senior, Bantam and Midget Regional Championships • Over 5,000 Level III officials register annually CF HOCKEY OFFICIALS COURSE

HOCKEY CANADA • Level IV • to prepare hockey officials capable of refereeing Senior, Junior A, B, C, D, Minor Hockey Regional and National Championships and designated Minor Hockey IIHF competition, or being a linesman in Major Junior, Junior A, Senior, CIAU, CCAA, Inter-Branch and IIHF competition. • Over 900 Level IV officials register annually CF HOCKEY OFFICIALS COURSE

HOCKEY CANADA • Level V • to prepare competent officials to referee Major Junior, Junior A, Senior A, CIAU, and Inter-Branch playoffs • Over 200 Level V officials register annually • Level VI • to prepare competent officials to referee National Championship Finals and designated IIHF competition • Over 70 Level VI officials are registered annually CF HOCKEY OFFICIALS COURSE
