  1. Cork City Cares aspires to engage and involve a social partnership with all the players and stakeholders in Cork City Centre night time economy and deliver a vibrant night-time environment on the island of Cork City Centre across the spectrum of age groups.

Primary Objectives:To combat / minimise the level of alcohol- related harm and anti-social behavior within the city centre environsTo manage the safe dispersal of large numbers of people out of city centre environs at weekends (late at night / early morning) To promote and encourage enjoyable and responsible use of alcoholTo promote and market the night-time economy in Cork City Centre

  4. Initiatives 2007 • A Code of Practice with licensed premises and late-night businesses • Pilot late-night transport initiatives

  5. 2008 2008 • Continue to work with the licensed trade to promote safe drinking • Promote initiatives that assist and enhance the management of the night-time environment • Identify initiatives that will influence positive behavior and build personal and civic pride • Continue and enhance the monitoring of both initiatives and the night-time environment • Identify and secure the resources to realise the potential of Cork City Cares
