Solar Still Challenge • You are going to build a solar still and find out how it can purify water. • Almost all of the water on Earth is in the oceans and is salty. • Much of the other water on land is also salty or unsuitable for human use • The need to purify water is increasing with the human population

  5. What is a Solar Still? • A solar still is a device which uses solar energy to purify water. • Different versions of a still are used to desalinate seawater, in desert survival kits and for home water purification • Follow your instructions carefully
