  1. Tuesday night I saw three stars. Chapter 15 Lesson 6 Monday night I saw seven stars. Sunday night I saw five stars. III IIII II IIII To find the mean, 1st add all the stars from the three days together.

  2. Then, put them into equal groups…but how many? How do you know? How many days Did you count stars? So you added 3 groups together, right? So divide the 15 stars into 3 groups.

  3. So the mean is 5! Hint: Use what you know about multiplication to divide the groups… X 3 =15

  4. To find the median…. • Put the numbers (the days you counted stars, how many you counted each day) in order from least to greatest, then whichever number is in the middle, that is the median. 3 5 7 median
