It is a healthy blend of iron and protein. Here’s how to make ​Punjabi palak paneer recipe​: First wash and cut the palak leaves properly. Then we need to boil the spinach. Take a pressure cooker and on high flame, boil the water. Put the palak leaves in boiled water. In the meantime, heat a pan and put 2 spoons of olive oil. Add 1 spoon cumin seeds.

  2. Add 2 spoon chopped garlic. Cook them on the high flame. Add 1 cup of chopped onion and cook till it turns golden brown. Add 2 spoon salt ( as preferred) Add 1 spoon red pepper. Add half spoon turmeric. Add 1 spoon cumin powder. Mix all the spices well. Now add chopped tomatoes. (Not too much, 1 small tomato is enough) Add chopped ginger and chopped green chilies. Give a nice little stir to it. If the masala starts sticking to the pan. Add little water to it as we are not using much oil. Cover it for 5 minutes and let it cook for 5 minutes. Till then, take out the boiled spinach and add the cold water. Then drain all the cold water out. We are here using cold water because by doing this step the color of the palak remains the same.
