  3. Rational number • A real number that can be written as: *a ratio of two integers , excluding zero as a denominator *a repeating term *a integer

  4. Scientific notation • A way of writing very large or very small numbers using a number between 1 and 10 multiplied by a power of ten.

  5. Perfect square • A number that is equal to the sum of its proper divisors.

  6. Irrational numbers • A number that can be written as a non-repeating decimal.

  7. Density property • A measure of how much matter is in a certain volume.

  8. Adjacent angles • Next to

  9. Coefficient • A constant that multiplies a variable.

  10. Distance formula • is a variant of the Pythagorean Theorem that you used back in geometry. Here's how we get from the one to the other

  11. Domain • All the x values in an equation.

  12. Hypotenuse • The side opposite the right angle in a right triangle.

  13. Legs of the right triangle • The legs opposite of the hypotenuse

  14. Rational numbers • A number that can be expressed as the ratio of two integers.

  15. Range • In statistics, the difference between the largest and the smallest numbers in a data set.

  16. Slope • The steepness of a line expressed as a ratio, using any two points on the line. Slope is m in the slope intercept form

  17. Scientific notation • A method for writing extremely large or small numbers compactly in which the number is shown as the product of two factors.

  18. Prism • A prism is a solid figure that has two congruent, polygon-shaped bases, and other faces that are all rectangles.

  19. Scatter plot • A graph with points plotted on a coordinate plane.
