This project, led by Rich Weber from the University of North Texas Center for Public Management, aims to leverage popular disaster films to enhance understanding of disaster response and mitigation strategies. By creating an annotated list of disaster movies, complete with brief descriptions and citation information, this initiative serves multiple purposes: providing resources for FEMA/DHS, developing educational materials, and enhancing class experiences. The project will feature films such as "Volcano," "Deep Impact," and documentaries from PBS, aimed at reinforcing key concepts in disaster management.
