Reporting and Control,focus on PSNP and ERA programs Inputs of report: Records and inspections, formats • Content of a report mainly contains: • What was planned in the reporting period, • What was achieved during this period, • What problems were faced in this period, • What actions were taken, • What issues are there that need attention of high level officials, • Is there deviation from the plan? if yes why? Reasons? • Recommendations, if any?
Reporting and Control (Cont’d) 2. Reporting formats: The format contains info. On: • Stations between which a certain activity is being conducted like: Clearing 1+000 to 2+800 • Activities at each station like clearing, excavation, etc, • Unit of measurement of activities, • Plan versus achievement: in quantity and %, • Contribution of donors, community and others, • Total work done in quantity, person days, money

Resources utilized, mention the resources like: • Number and type of skilled manpower, • Type and number of Major equipment like tractors, • Number of Daily Labourers involved, 4. Highlights on the plan of upcoming month or quarter and resource requirement to: • Show the improvements to be made based on recommendations, solution for problems, management decisions, etc, • Request the required resource for the coming period.

Types of reports: oral and written reports, Note that: • Reports are very important to covey information, to get feedback, etc, • Good Reporting system is part of good project planning, • Reporting is one part of the M&E system, • Rewards and promotion are given to staff that produce good reports in fair companies.
