  1. Adjustment and Actions (POM-A) • Even the most “carefully planned,” “best staffed,” and “schedule friendly” projects face changes and unexpected events. (e.g. a release by competitor with new technology) • Software Project Managers should NOT be afraid to take actions & MUST act when (the monitored data indicate needs) necessary ---- combination of Monitor & Adjust provide “CONTROL” • But ---- many Do NotAct because: • hope “problems” will go away and resolve by itself • fearof changes • lackof knowledge (what options are available and what to do) • etc.
