  5. 11-6-12: Journal: • Is there a difference between how you speak around your friends and how you speak around your parents and other adults? Explain.

  6. Mood: • The emotional quality of a literary work. Think about atmosphere!!!

  7. Tone: • An author’s attitude towards his or her subject which is conveyed through word choice.
