  2. Rio de Janeiro • Brazil’s second largest city and home to nearly 7 million people • Was the capitol of Brazil for nearly two centuries • Most visited city in the Southern Hemisphere • Known for it’s beaches, carnival celebrations, and wonderful landmarks

  3. Leme Beach • Named after a rudder (leme) shaped rock • Known for its beautiful sunsets • Lined with luxurious hotels • Famous for being a fun family location.

  4. Christ the Redeemer • Rio de Janeiro’s most famous landmark • 5th largest statue of Jesus Christ in the world (130ft) • Located on the top of Corcovado Mt. • Constructed of reinforced concrete and soapstone between 1922 & 1931 • Named one of the “New Seven Wonders of the World” in 2007

  5. One day I hope to make my dream of visiting Rio de Janeiro, Brazil a reality. I’m going to work hard and save money because that is the only way to make your dreams come true…
