  3. In Hinduism ,HANUMAN is a vanara who aided Rama (an avatar of Vishnu) in rescuing his wife Sita, from the demon king Ravana He is also seen as avatar of Lord Shiva He is the powerful son of Vayudeva, the Wind God HANUMAN epitomizes virtue, strength, humility & courage

The character of Hanuman teaches us of the unlimited power that lies unused within each one of us Hanuman directed all his energies towards the worship of Lord Rama & his undying devotion made him such that he became free from all physical fatigue And Hanuman's only desire was to go on serving Rama. His greatness lies in his complete merger with his Lord, which also formed the base of his genial qualities

  5. Symbolized in Hinduism for his unwavering dedication to righteousness, unstinting performance of entrusted duties & unfailing talents in serving his master Rama He holds the role of guru in several Indian traditions

Many episodes establish Hanuman as the ultimate bhakta and shed much light on his unique personality Hanuman once with his sharp talons tore open his chest & the audience was taken aback to find enshrined an image of Rama and Sita In the Adhyatma ('spiritual') Ramayana Hanuman is said to personify bhakti which annihilates the 'ahankara' or ego (Ravana) & re-unites the individual & the universal

  8. Hanumanji is said to be “Chiranjivi” (immortal) & is present in the world even today He is the link between the devotees and God, for as instructed by the Lord, he serves, protects and inspires the servants of God

  9. The word "Sankat Mochan" means one who helps in removing sufferings i. e. Lord Hanuman According to Vedic Astrology, Hanuman protects human beings from the anger of planet Saturn and those who have ill placed Saturn in their horoscope He is believed to protect people from accidents

  10. Hanuman protects one from black magic, charms, negativity & psychic attacks. The worshipper gets name, fame & material comforts He is worshipped by his devotees whenever they perceive their troubles to be a result of the unfavorable configuration of celestial bodies Hanuman is often shown trampling under his feet a woman who is said to represent Panvati, a personification of baneful astrological influences

The prayer that is chanted as a mark of respect to Hanuman is the ‘Hanuman Chalisa’ which is believed to imbibe strength, protection, intellect, fearlessness & resilience in devotees Nearly five hundred years ago Saint Tulsi Das composed Hanuman Chalisa as an overflow of his devotion . Since then this composition has inspired worldwide as a perennial source of inspiration and transformation Hanuman Chalisa finds a place in every home where it acts as a panacea for all problems, be they physical, mental or spiritual

  13. Physical prowess is an integral aspect of Hanuman, he is the patron deity of wrestlers and body-builders He is most popularly referred to as 'Vajra-anga-Bali,' meaning the Powerful One (bali) with a body (anga) hard as a thunderbolt (vajra)

Hanuman is the ideal yogi having a perfect mastery over his senses, achieved through a disciplined lifestyle tempered by the twin streams of celibacy (Brahmachari) and selfless devotion (bhakti) He is also a perfect karma yogi since he performs his actions with detachment, acting as an instrument of destiny rather than being impelled by any selfish motive. In Hindu symbolism, a monkey signifies the human mind, which is ever restless and never still Hauman signifies: this monkey-mind happens to be the only thing over which man has absolute control. We cannot control the world around us but we can control and tame our mind by ardent discipline Truly Hanuman is symbolic of the perfect mind and embodies the highest potential it can achieve

Hanuman is the Hindu deity with the biggest heart He is a symbol of devotion, not only of the heart but to learning His qualities of intelligence & inventiveness are said to be boundless & he inspires that no challenge in the world is too difficult for him to handle Hanuman inspires a person to use their power in the service of the greater good

Worship of Lord Hanumanin the context of energy- To overcome distressing energy: To overcome problems due to evil spirits, black magic, departed ancestors' subtle bodies, influence of the planet Saturn (Shani) etc  To control pleasant energy: To overcome any obstacle in the pathway of the activated spiritual energy system (kundalini) and to channelize it appropriately, so that the seeker can continue his spiritual practice smoothly

  19. Lord Hanuman facing the south (Dakshinamukhi Maruti) South refers to the direction south or the right side. Since the sun channel (surya nadi) is active in the right-facing Hanuman, His statue has more manifest energy. This form of Hanuman is worshipped to overcome any problems due to negative energy The South is supposed to be the direction of death (Lord Yama) and facing south usually implies fearlessness of death and understanding of absolute divinity Statue of Lord Hanuman as the Servitor (Dasmaruti) He stands before Lord Rama in obeisance. This statue emanates subtle vibrations of spiritual emotion (bhav) The direction of Hanuman statue is consequential to one’s goal

  20. Lord Hanuman facing the north (Vamamukhi Maruti) North refers to the direction north or the left side. Since the moon channel (chandra nadi) is active in the left-facing Hanuman, His statue has less manifest energy. This form of Hanuman is worshipped to make spiritual progress His statue as the courageous One (Viramaruti) It shows Him ready for battle. This statue emanates the more gross, positive energy and hence, is worshipped to overcome problems of negative energy, such as possession, black magic, etc. Panchmukhi Hanuman
