HL7 Ballot Information Page • http://www.hl7.org/participate/onlineballoting.cfm?ref=nav • Contains: • Member Balloting Instructions • Non-Member participation Instructions • Ballot voting is available to any interested party, although there is a small administrative fee for most of the candidate standards and documents. Any fees for a ballot are detailed on a selection page during the sign-up process. Fees typically run about $50 per pool, with a maximum set for multiple pools in a group.

  8. Review Ballot Packages • Provides list of ballots that you joined: • Understand ballot package content • Review ballot comment spreadsheet and instructions

  9. Be sure to indicate if you want to be present during resolution of any/all comments Be specific about location Copy and paste from IG Tell us what you think is wrong or could be better You don’t have to have proposed wording but specificity clarifies

  10. Cast Your Vote • Select the “Vote” tab • Cast your overall vote • Attach the comment spreadsheet

  11. Following the Comment Period • Reconciliation: • At the working group meeting • During scheduled conference calls • Overall committee vote • Incorporate changes and publish • Incorporate changes and back to ballot • Withdrawal of negatives
