ATF Ondoy Clean-Up Operations: Relief Efforts and Community Involvement

The ATF Ondoy clean-up operations took place from September 27 to October 16, consisting of small contingents collaborating to help the affected areas following the Ondoy disaster. Key locations included Ateneoville, Nangka, Marikina, and GK Brookside. The initiative was led by various groups such as OSCI, GK-Ateneo, and participated by over 500 volunteers from different classes and programs. Cleanup activities not only aimed to restore the affected communities but also fostered teamwork and a spirit of service among participants. A comprehensive list of volunteers was compiled to recognize their contributions.

  2. Background • Small contingents (1-2 jeeps) were sent to clean up during the relief period in the following areas: • Sept 27: Ateneoville, Nangka, Marikina (led by OSCI, ROTC, and joined by Fr. Nebres) • Sept 30: GK Brookside (led by GK-Ateneo) • Oct 3/4: Post-relief operations were finalized. • Oct 5-16: ATF Ondoy clean up operation led by GK-Ateneo team, OSA, ADSA, ADAA, OSCI.
