The Power of Kindness: A Radical Revision of My “This I Believe” Essay

My name is Josh Umali, and I'm a psychology major passionate about reading and writing. For my Radical Revision, I chose to transform my "This I Believe" essay, centered on the belief that kindness and effective communication can greatly improve lives. Inspired by my Creative Writing class and a short brunette girl named Rae, I explored many creative forms. Ultimately, I selected poetry for its personal connection and expressive power. In my piece, I encourage others to break free from their restraints and speak their minds.
