  6. The College of Dentistry Goes Green! Dear Staff, Students, Faculty, and College Administrators: The College of Dentistry is committed to protecting the health and welfare of its employees. We also believe in the value of environmental stewardship. Accordingly, we are pleased/excited to announce our adoption this year of the Go Green initiative, a comprehensive environmental program that promotes earth-friendly behaviors and helps us evaluate the environmental impact of our activities in our college. The Go Green Initiative is a partnership involving students, teachers, administrators, custodians and administrators that aligns itself with state mandated standards. Through practical activities such as recycling, energy saving and reducing waste, the program encourages environmentally responsible behavior inside and outside of the workplace. The College of Dentistry joins a growing number of teaching institutions across the U.S. and around the world that have adopted environmentally friendly practices. As our Go Green Initiative program takes shape, we look forward to sharing our progress with you. Throughout the design and implementation of this program, we invite your suggestions and welcome volunteers to be part of this exciting educational opportunity.
