  3. Gamelan Music Gamelan music is from 2 islands Bali and Java. In the palaces of Java are the oldest known ensembles, the Munggang and Kodokngorek gamelans, apparently from the 12th century. These formed the basis of a "loud style." A different, "soft style" developed out of the kemanak tradition and is related to the traditions of singing Javanese poetry, in a manner which is often believed to be similar to performance of modern bedhaya dance.

  4. Djembe A djembe is a skin covered drum that is played with the hands. It is shaped like a large goblet and originates from West Africa where it is one of the most common instruments. Traditionally crafted djembe drums are carved out of a single piece of wood. The drumheads are typically made from goatskin.

Marley remains the most widely known and revered performer of reggae music, and is credited with helping spread both Jamaican music and the Rastafari movement to a worldwide audience

  6. Religions linked with Reggae Rastafarianism is a religion which is linked with reggae. There are many that think Rastafari is a religion the same way as Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Islam, etc. But Rastafari is actually not a Religion but more a way of life. This is more understood when you understand that many Rasta's do not grow up in Rasta families, or do not have Rastafarian parents. They also do not practice any strict prayer times, or days of worship.  Many Rasta’s believe Emperor Haile Selassie of Ethiopia, (crowned king of Ethiopia in 1930) Was the second coming of Jesus Christ
