Welcome to Ms. Lisa Heinl's math course! With a Bachelor's from Miami University and a Master's from Cleveland State University, Ms. Heinl brings 25 years of teaching experience to the classroom. This year, we will cover a variety of topics, including the Real Number System, Polynomials, Quadratics, Functions, Probability, and Geometry. Essential materials include a 3-ring binder, notebook, graph paper, pencils, and a TI-Nspire CX graphing calculator. Grading focuses on learning checks, quizzes, projects, tests, and semester exams. Materials needed for class EVERYDAY: • “Math-Only” 3-ringed binder (At least 1”) • This is a must! We will not have a book for this course and the students will be getting lots of hand-outs . . . . . • Notebook AND graph paper • Pencils with erasers • Graphing calculator: TI-nspire CX
Grading • Learning Checks = 4 points (“Risk Free”) • OGT Practice Problems = 2 10 points • Quizzes = 25 50 points • Projects = 25 60 points • Tests = 100 points • Semester Exams • Late, incomplete, or missing assignments = 0 points
