  2. Roy Lichtenstein Biography • October 27, 1923 Roy was born in Manhatten NYC. • Andy Warhol was born in 1928. • 1940 attends OSU and studies drawing. • 1943 drafted into the US army. • 1946 earns Bachelors of Fine Arts at OSU • 1949 earns Masters of Fine Arts at OSU

  3. Biography continued • 1949 gets married and lives in Columbus, Ohio. • 1950’s first one man exhibitions • 1960’s professor in New York. Begins Benday Dot method and incorporating his infamous comic books. • 1960’s-1990’s continues production, work is viewed in many prestigious galleries, and receives many awards • 1997 dies in Manhatten, NYC.
