  3. After a bewildering career path(s): --Advertising, Venture Capital, Banking, What next? What color is my parachute? Education seemed to bring it all together!

  4. And then...CIE

  5. Graduation 2010 Where can I be most effective now?

  6. The journey begins in Mumbai...

  7. The present education system provides a detailed structure to implement policy

  8. But this structure(s) is confusing... And complicated by policies that demotivate because people do not find meaning in the work they do

  9. Creating the need for guidelines

  10. Project 1- Indicative Guidelines for resource centers i.Objective and scope of work of such resource centres. ii.Location, coverage and geographical area and process of setting up of resource centres. iii.Manpower required at resource centres – their roles, job profiles, qualifications and selection criterion iv.Infrastructure and facilities that should be available in the resource centre. v...

  11. Project 2- Setting up a policy desk for Pre-Service Teacher Education i.The present status of PSTE programs- types of colleges, teachers and students. ii.Publishing reports on innovative examples of such programs across the country. iii.Informing policy makers on what works and what does not work- curriculum,pedagogy and institutional framework.

  14. A few questions... • How do governments in other countries support schools?
