This study examines access to healthcare based on health insurance status among children and nonelderly adults in 2011. The research includes respondents with no usual source of care, especially those relying on the emergency room. Statistical differences between uninsured and insured groups are analyzed.

Respondents who said usual source of care was the emergency room were included among those not having a usual source of care.
