  3. Three Types of Learning • Affective: Change in Attitude or Behavior • Cognitive: Introduction of New Facts, Concepts or Skills • Psychomotor: Introduction of New Motor Skills

  5. Motivation • Participants learn more effectively when they find value in the subject and are goal directed

  6. Association • Participants learn more readily when they can associate the information with previous experiences or learning

  7. Repetition • Review, summary and practice provide repetition that helps participants learn

  8. Use of Senses • Learning occurs more rapidly when participants are engaged and actively involved in the learning process through the use of as many senses as possible
