  2. The Vimy Ridge Monument The monument was commissioned in a contest in 1920 and this design was chosen. It took eleven years to build and was unveiled in 1936.

  3. tTheVimy Ridge Monument The Monument consists of two Pilons: One for Canada and one for it’s fighting partner France. It also contains several statues and podium upon which is sits is engraved with the names of more than 10 000 men who were lost there.
