This study focuses on calibrating GOSAT data while exploring CO2 and methane sources at ARC Railroad Valley. We demonstrate the capability for measuring greenhouse gas vertical profiles from the Alpha Jet and conduct flux measurements using SIERRA. The project includes comprehensive surveys of CO2 and CH4 concentrations, ambient data collection, and intricate soil profiling to understand microbial and gas interactions. Data collected during June 2011 highlight diurnal cycles and specific hotspot evaluations, contributing to ongoing research on desert environments' carbon uptake.
