  2. DIY- Pipe Cleaner Curl Loc Updo • This is a style I created using pipe cleaner curls that are 10 days old. They have been through a lot - from North Carolina heat and humidity to extra sweaty work outs! With all that my hair has been through I still think the curls look great, I just need to wash my hair! • In this style I flat twisted the right side of my locs on a slant (3 twists). • Then I pulled a few locs out for a bang. • After that, I took the remaining locs and secured the ends only with a black band. • Finally, I rolled my "pony tail" up into a bun and secured the bun with bobby pins! • There you have it! Cute and simple! In the following slides I show the directions step by step.

  3. You will need these supplies. • Small hair pins (for the flat twists) • large hair pin/Bobby pin to hold the bun

  4. My start!3 side twists on a slant. • I used small hair pins to secure the twists.

  5. Bang time! • I pulled a few Locs forward for a bang and separated them with a rubberband

  6. Bun. • I pulled the rest of my Locs back and secured them with a band. (Tips)

  7. Release the Bang!

  8. Ideas/Inspirations/FYI • My Locs are cut into layers. (Glenda from Sincerely Yours in Durham, NC) It's a really great cut that adds volume! • My inspirations....... • Flat twist idea - Bronzegoddess01 (YouTube) • Curly Loc Bun - Bronzegoddess01 + Chescalocs (YouTube) • Check out MY YouTube page - search using the name SuperAlacia • My blog http://onealacia.wordpress.com • Thanks for stopping by!
