  1. Intelligent Infrastructure Working Group Paul van der Kroon.

  2. IIWG objectives (a.o) • Identify issues, which need to be solved at infrastructure level, in order to ensure the implementation of cooperative systems on the road infrastructure side with a focus on the trunk road network and the final objective to improve safety and contribute to clean and efficient mobility; • Reach consensus amongst its working group members on discussed issues, and to produce specific, detailed recommendations for the e-Safety Forum Steering Group as well as the Forum Plenary. • The IIWG aims at developing detailed recommendations. For this purpose, the IIWG will organise Workshops and Expert Meetings.

  3. Focus • on the road infrastructure side of cooperative systems; • to all aspects related to "Infrastructure" which means V2I, I2V and I2I and in the near future also the link to nomadic devices (pedestrians and cyclists); • on both the ICT systems on the road side as well as the back-office systems (e.g. traffic management center, data warehouses, etc.).

  5. Proposal for definition The Intelligent Infrastructure is the organisation and technology of the roadside for ICT-based (cooperative) services beneficial for both road users and road network operators

  6. 2 SUB groups • A subgroup will elaborate on what infrastructure elements related to the definition the IIWG will focus on in order to deliver the outputs as state in its Terms of reference • A subgroup will investigate which services are relevant for the IIWG to be provided by the road infrastructure sector

  7. Meeting Dates • 11 March • 17 June • 7 October • 16 December
