  3. What is ‘Widening Access’? • Removal of barriers to HE for under-represented groups • Recognising achievement within context • Universities need to represent wider society • Good for all students

  4. Contextual Data Policy • Approved by Senate, Sep. 2013 • SIMD; Local Authority care; ‘low progression’ school • NOT a guarantee of an offer • One grade reduction • Flags – not cumulative
