  2. I am Anne Frank and this is my story.

  3. I was born on June 12, 1929 in Frankfurt, Germany. I have an older sister Margot. This is my mother Edith. My fathers name is Otto.

  4. Margot, mum and I went to live with our grandmother in Aachen, Germany In 1934. I started at Montessori Kindergarten. It was so exciting.

  5. I was six years old and afraid because we were Jews and Jews were being sent to concentration camps in Germany. Our family was in danger.

  6. After May 1940 the good times were few and far between; first there was the war and then the arrival of the Germans. Which is when the troublestarted for us Jews.

  7. We got frightening news that Margot was called to be sent to a German Labour camp. I was terrified to think that my sister might get taken to a concentration camp. Mum and dad realized danger is approaching. We went into hiding…

  8. We hid in an empty section of my fathers company building. The entrance to the Secret Annexis hidden behind a bookcase. A warehouse manager, constructs the bookcase to hide the entrance to the Secret Annex.

  9. The Van Pels family arrive at the Secret Annex a week later. The Van Pels family live on the third floor. I feel relief now that we have company Peter van Pel Hermann van Pel Hermann van Pel

  10. We supplied our food in the attic above Peter Van Pels bedroom. Outside this window was a beautiful chestnut tree. I would climb up the ladder to the attic and look at the tree everyday

  11. On 4 August 1944, everyone in the Secret Annex is arrested. Someone has betrayed us. We have no other chance, we are on our way to the concentration camp…

  12. My Father is the only one of our family who survives the German Concentration Camp.
