  6. Financial Aid • Financial aid are ways to help people pay for college. • Scholarships and loans are two types of financial aid.

  7. Scholarships • Hope Scholarship is a scholarship given to students in Georgia, but they only work at the in-state schools. Since NYU isn’t in Georgia, this scholarship wouldn’t really help me. • Merit Scholarship Program Awards – 9,600 Scholarships Awarded • Coca-Cola Scholars Program – Gives From $4,000 to $20,000 for four years • Eugene and Elinor Kotur Scholarship – Given To Students With A Ukrainian Background

  12. Steps In High School To get into the college of my choice, I should take these steps in high school: • Take more AP classes • Do more extracurricular activities • Participate in the community • Study more and not procrastinate • Manage my time better

Reflections • I learned that college is really expensive and that to get into such an expensive college, I need to get a scholarship, loan, or other kind of financial aid. • I also found out how many different scholarships there are out there. • I learn that college is so much more competitive, so I need to learn not to procrastinate and to study more. • Now, I know that I need to really prepare for college, by taking the right steps in high school.
