  1. The Western region of North America contains physical, cultural and economic features found nowhere else in the world. For example, the Grand Canyon in Arizona is one of the largest canyons in existence and is a well-known landmark. Also, Hawaiiis a popular tourist spot because of its unique tropical islands and unusual culture. Another special part of this region is Idaho, which is a major potato producer and an important factor in the region’s economy. It is no surprise so many people like to visit the West.
