  4. Who Roe was • Alias “Jane Roe”- as Norma McCorvey • Suit was originally filed on her behalf • Constitutional rights were violated alleging the abortion law in Texas • Pregnant, single woman • Became pregnant summer of 1969 • 21 yrs old, marriage failed
