  2. Early Years • Born in 1735. • He was named Paul after his father. • He learned to make objects from gold and silver from his father. • He lived near Boston Harbor. • Paul Revere’s birthplace

  3. Accomplishment During His/Her Life • He was a member of the Sons of Liberty. • He used his skills as a silversmith to make the famous Liberty Bowl. • He helped protest British taxes the colonists thought were unfair. • As a mail carrier, he carried • important papers to colony • leaders.

  4. Character traits he possess • He was diligent. • He valued liberty and independence. • He was brave.

  5. Becoming FamousHow & When • On the night of April 18, 1775, British soldiers marched toward Lexington and Concord, Massachusetts. They planned to attack the patriots. Paul Revere made his famous ride to warn the colonists that the British were coming.

  6. How Paul Revere Changed America He worked hard for liberty from British rule by: • protesting the tax on tea during the Boston Tea Party • by working with Sons of Liberty • by warning the militia that the British were coming

  7. Special Talents • He was a silversmith. • He was a good horse rider. • He printed bank notes which were used as paper money.

  8. Where is he now? • He died in 1818 at the age of 83. He is buried in Boston, Massachusetts.

  9. Why I like or dislike Paul Revere • I like Paul Revere because he was brave and he fought for freedom and independence from British rule during the American Revolution.
