The ERA-ARD project, starting on April 1, 2005, aims to improve synergies between national agricultural research for development (ARD) programs across Europe. Coordinated by CIRAD, France, and involving 15 partners from 14 European countries, the project has a budget of approximately 3.5 million euros. It focuses on addressing poverty and food security through research collaboration, with a specific emphasis on bioenergy's impacts on rural development and natural resources. Through coordinated calls, the project fosters international cooperation to strengthen Europe's role in global ARD systems.
