  1. Parkside M.S.Announcements Friday October 21, 2013 Panther Day

  2. Announcements NJHS Members Attention ALL NJHS members.  Do you want to play a roll in the 50th anniversary of Parkside?  Please see Ms. Mattia for details by Thursday, October 25.

  3. Announcements Step Team Try Outs Step Team Tryouts will begin next week on Monday, October 28. We are looking for students with confidence and rhythm who love to make some noise. Any boys and girls that like to perform and want to give stepping a try are encouraged to come. Anyone interested in trying out must have a physical and concussion training on file.

  4. Announcements Prior Step Team Members Former members of the Parkside Platinum Step Team are invited to come to Mrs. Anderson's room after school this week on Tuesday, October 22 to help plan for upcoming tryouts. The meeting this week is for former step team members ONLY.

  5. Announcements World Language Club The World Language Club will hold its first meeting tomorrow, on Tuesday after school in Mrs. Maibeth’s room, 1509. Students may be picked up by their parents at 5:00 or ride the activity bus home.

  6. Announcements Battle of the Books First Battle of the Books meeting will be held this Wednesday, Oct. 23 in Ms. Burke’s classroom, room 827.

  7. Announcements New Workout Gear Attention all students: The PE department has received the new workout gear inventory. You can purchase your workout gear any Wednesday during your PE class.

  8. Announcements Show Choir Show choir rehearsal is Thursday 10/24 from 3:05-4:15pm. All County Chorus All County chorus rehearsal is Thursday 10/24 from 4:15-5:20pm.

  9. Announcements Chili Cook-off Event Calling all athletic, club and teacher teams. Who has the best chili? Register for the Chili-Cook-off event taking place next Tuesday with the Minute to Win It event. Registration forms may be found in your teacher mailbox. Win $100 for the best chili and/or $50 for best decorated booth for your organization!

  10. Announcements DC United Soccer Game DC United Soccer game is Sunday, October 27th at 1:30pm. Come out with fellow Parkside students and families and enjoy watching a great soccer game. The first 20 Parkside students to purchase discounted tickets will get to walk on the field carrying the large American flag during opening ceremonies! Order forms and money is due no later than Monday, October 21st! Extra DC United ticket order forms and Minute to Win It registration forms may be found in the main office.

  11. Announcements Homework Club Homework club is canceled for today, Monday, October 21. Please go home on your bus.  We will see you tomorrow

  12. Announcements Breast Cancer Awareness Month Show your support by doing the following: Make a $1 donation*and get a pink bracelet! (Donations taken during lunches.) PINK OUT Friday’s for the month of October. Wear pink shirts, socks, shoes, etc...to show your support! *All money raised will be donated to a local cancer center

  13. Announcements Panthers on the Prowl-Boys & Girls Club Students should report to the library immediately after school. Dismissed with car riders!!! Tuesdays: 6th and 7th grade (Kubler P-3, Kubler P-4, Polak P-2) & Thursdays: 8th grade (Polak P-2, Polak P4&5).
