Prioritizing Comments on Student Papers Higher Priority Lower Priority Make Comments beginning with Global Issues (the bottom of the pyramid). Rarely make any comments on the top 2 layers of the pyramid. Simply tell students that you refuse to grade it until they have refined the paper.
