Guidelines for Factoring Quadratics. Always write the quadratic in standard form ax2 bx c.If a=1, then use the diamond method.If a?1, then use the bottoms up diamond method.Remember, always factor out (distributive property) any common factors in each of the terms before using the diamond method.
